Career Story

Let me introduce myself, I'm Gail Benmosche. BusinessKeeping is the second opportunity I have had to express my entrepreneurial spirit.

The first was a very successful bookkeeping service offering small to medium size businesses computerized financial recordkeeping. Running this company enabled me to gain insight to many different industries; internet/web, mortgage lending, publishing, retailers, restaurants, landscaping, construction, non-profit organizations, associations, nutrition and chiropractic. This accented my previous fifteen years of exposure in banking, manufacturing and the distribution industries.

I moved into the corporate world when I was honored with an offer from a client to join in their 'Going Public' venture. As office manager in the internet/web arena my diverse background helped with problem solving, completing projects under budget and on time with an audit trail as well as learning new skills to stay in the mainstream.

After three fast-paced years and the demise of the dot.com world I moved on to the telephony industry. There I worked closely with project managers utilizing my cost accounting and organizational skills as well as sharing the latest technology for their office operations.

After taking time to reflect on theses experiences, I realized my real passion was a 'Project', any project. With each new industry, client or boss I seemed to end up working on those special projects with impossible deadlines and next to nothing budgets. It was time to focus my passion and experience in advancing my career path. I applied to the International Institute for Learning and attained my Project Management Professional Certification (PMP). During my studies I solidified the process and procedures that I had been following for years without realizing why.

In 2002 I was offered an opportunity with a public relations firm to manage the operations team for a $50M grant from the US Department of Justice to the National Shooting Sports Foundation. It was here that I used every aspect of my training to setup, train, deploy and monitor this highly successful campaign to import and distribute 20 million safety locks in a 12 month period.

In 2005 I reestablished my bookkeeping service. Not long after I began to update websites and creating electronic marketing materials for clients. With 'details' being an area of expertise for me - the niche fit perfectly. Applying my project management skills to these service ensures higher quality, on time deadlines and cost effectiveness.

Hence BusinessKeeping... ' your detail professional' !
